There are a variety of options for you to consider.
Some options are tax deductible while others are not.

The American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation ("AKC CHF" or "CHF") Bernese Mountain Dog Donor Advised Fund. This is a public, not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) foundation. Contributions to such an organization are tax deductable expenses. The BMDCA has established a Donor Advised Fund ("DAF") whereby any contributions made to this fund are under the complete control of the BMDCA Board of Directors. The money in this fund has been used to help fund national and international research projects addressing diseases affecting Bernese Mountain Dogs. The BMDCA Health Committee reviews all research project requests and then recommends participation to the BMDCA Board of Directors. Over the years, thousands of dollars have been committed to cancer-related and other health research projects that impact the lives of Berners. You can find detailed information about the AKC Canine Health Foundation by going to its website (http://www.akcchf.org/).
