Bear was a very special dog. Where ever we went everyone wanted to pet him. Everyone said “he looks like a bear” and everyone said he was so cute. He had such a great face, always smiling.  He never said no to petting or an opportunity to either lean on you or sit on your feet. He loved sitting on my lap when I was watching TV or a movie. At 11 years 1 month and 4 days he crossed over the rainbow bridge. He will always be in my heart.

Anja came to us as a tiny puppy from Hamburg, Germany. We were impressed by the longevity in Anja's family tree (both sides!). She's always been an active and athletic dog with a healthy appetite. She has never left a single kibble in her bowl. Ever. :-)

Miss Peek is affectionately known as the “gentle giant.” Despite her senior status, she plays with boundless energy alongside her 1.5 year-old Berner sister, Heidi. Her daily walks are a cherished routine, but nothing beats the joy of family beach trips where she can run freely on the sand. In April, Miss Peek made her show debut at the National Specialty, impressing everyone with her poise in the ring. Later, at the Regional Specialty, she earned a ribbon for being the Oldest Veteran, showcasing her enduring grace.

Romeo was not the easiest dog but he was deeply loved nonetheless and lived up to his name by always being what we called "aggressively affectionate" with those he loved. He is deeply missed.

Zeus will always be a puppy at heart even though he is already 11! Where has the time gone? Whether you are chomping on a toy to make them squeak, playing tug-of-war, or running around like a wild child you keep us on our toes. We’ve had so many adventures together and we look forward to many more. Every day with you is a blessing and we can see you in all your babies. You fill our hearts with so much happiness and have taught us what unconditional love truly is. Strong alone but unstoppable together!

Finn was so much to us, Teacher, Companion, Partner, Show dog , Obedience dog, Draft dog, Herding dog, Almost Agility dog, Guard dog, Comfort dog, Bear dog, Heart dog. Loved by many, enemy of none. and now Angel. 11 years was not enough, No matter how the years, It's never long enough.

We could not be more blessed to be sharing the 11th year of life with Jayne. He is more opinionated and demanding than ever, and we are absolutely here for it. He is also as empathetic and sweet as ever, and it melts our hearts every day.

Such a handsome boy. All boy. All the time. You know, always a little boy at heart needing a hug and a smile. Proud to watch over the house, the girls, and me - and his favorite Mister Bunny toy (I still have about 10 of them in the "secret box" so we would never run out).

Owen lives in the homeland of the Bernese Mountain Dogs, in beautiful Switzerland with Elvira and Roland Jaeggi, in the “vom Rickenwind” kennel. He is still an active stud dog and boss in his Bernese pack, which consists of 5 males and 2 females. In 2015, 2016, 2017 he became “Swiss Club Winner KBS”, he is Swiss Beauty Champion and now also Veteran Champion, he also won his last exhibition at the age of 10.5. In Europe he is the father of around 300 puppies, and his descendants also live in the USA. Owen gave us everything, is still healthy & fit and our soul dog.

My buddy-boy Chewy fills every day with absolute joy and unconditional love, and has for the the past eleven-plus years. He's a bouncy, enthusiastic boy, mountain-bred and raised, and still acts like an exuberant puppy. Always ready for a ride in the truck—he owns the back seat—he spends his days taking walks, snoozing in the sunshine, and cuddling. Thanks to Christine Mann (and his mama, Landen) for bringing him into the world and to me.

Manny, Manny Pan, Manuel!, no matter what we call you, we love you. You are the first Berner we've had to make it to 11 years old and you're still enjoying life. You're definitely a gift from God. Thank you Chris Mann for letting us love this little man.

Until her last day, even during a year-long battle with histio, irrepressible Mia lived up to her name. In her early years, she was Holly’s partner in crime, but she grew into her role as benevolent and loving dictator to her humans and her boys. We miss her more than word can express, and are grateful for the memories she left us.
