Hickory's Sweet Talking Romeo
Owner: Lisa Reininger and Amy Tucker
The only way you know Romeo is a senior is when you realize there's a little grey in his eyebrows. He is active, athletic and playful as he has ever been. Still living up to his name by always being what we call “aggressively affectionate†with those he loves.

Miss Peek at 10 is our heart of hearts! She walks two miles with ease, plays tug with her 9 month-old sister, is a gentle giant and also a beautiful, fluffy girl. No sign of slowing down and happy to be with her family!

Reflecting on our journey so far, we cannot help but think of all the amazing times we've had. Through tears and laughter, we've had more adventures than either of us thought possible. You fill our hearts with unconditional love and joy and give your all with everything you do. Zeus, we love you more than words could ever say! Strong alone but unstoppable together!

Mario has the biggest sense of humor I've ever seen. My friend, Devon, talked me out of him when he was 10 weeks old and so the story begins. An avid exerciser, Devon and Mario still walk 2 miles per day. He achieved his AKC Grand Championship and still plays like a pup with his toys. Sharon Johnson

Finn introduced us to so many things. We were looking for a dog that would be a great pet and maybe pull a cart and got so much more. He is my heart dog, a hard and willing worker who does anything asked of him with a cheerful heart, puppy raiser, grandkid lover, door greeter and all around world's best dog. We are blessed in so many ways that he came to be a part of our family

They gave us 80 words to describe Jayne, but we can do it in 5: Sex. Muscle. Humor. Thuggery. Jayne. Jayne has always been very clear about what he wants, and what he doesn't; when things are right in his world, and when they aren't; and who his people are, and who they aren't. We are honored to be Jayne's people - giving him all the things he wants and keeping things right in his world.

SO HAPPY TO HAVE TILLY STILL GOING STRONG AT 10!!
Bernbrook's Irrepressible Mia
Mia was born 3 days before Superstorm Sandy hit us, and I always joked that she and brother Maks were the “stronger than the storm†twins. It was true in her case as she is a happy, youthful 10 years despite beating cancer twice. I hope she remains the noisy but benevolent despot who makes me laugh for years to come.

Laukie continues to be a wonderful therapy dog and farmers' market companion.
Tennescott White Mountain Riffelalp
Riffie is our fourth Berner and the most extraordinary: she is beautiful, remarkably healthy, and highly intelligent--understanding much conversation. Riffie offers excellent company, intuitively appreciating our world and expecting to be included, always. As she has aged, Riffie --very social with both dogs and people--has become the neighborhood "Ambassador Berner." Bravo, Riffie!!
Hickory's Moonlight Magic v Lefleur
Ayla is ALWAYS right by my side. She is a sweetheart and loves everyone. On our daily walks she believes every person we encounter wants to pet her. She is a very healthy girl - she's been raw fed and had minimal vaccines. She can be a scamp - she's been known to steal loaves of bread off the counter when I turn my back! Love her dearly and am counting on her to hang out with me for a while yet.

Atlas has had many nicknames over his 10 years, including At-Yak and At-Hat. The photo is my favorite of him and shows his personality. We are fortunate that three years after having had malignant melanoma, he is doing well and enjoying his life. He's given up killing opossums in his senior years for which his humans are very grateful. Luckily, he fills that time with getting extra petting.
