Very sadly, we had Thurman euthanized September 8th. He was the best dog either Ted or I have had. Thurman was a very large Berner, a true gentle giant. He loved everyone and was at his best with children and puppies. He had a great life on our farmette until very close to the end when he had trouble getting up.

At 10 + years old Barbie still acts like a puppy, I'm so thankful for all the great adventures we've shared together she's such an amazing girl, Barbie is one of a kind has the biggest heart and always ready to go. Thank you Stacy Temples for sending us our amazing girl.

Ringer is now 10 and celebrating this milestone with his mom, Jasmine, and 4 of his 5 siblings. He is an eternal puppy, always ready with a smile and a hug. He listens intently when I tell him stories. It was only possible to get this sweet healthy boy with the support of Bill & Mary Dunnavant. I am also grateful to Patty Gartman and her sister, Lee, for their devoted grooming.

Buster loves snow and sleeps outside when it's 10 degrees. He lives near Chicago with his two humans. His favorite past time is sneaking mom's shoes out his doggie door, to keep him company while she's at work. He enjoys long naps, camping and belly rubs. He travels with them to Texas, Alabama and all over the Midwest.

Sophie entered my world like a wrecking ball and hasn't changed. Always the life of the party, with or without the party! Sophie loves everyone with all her heart, but she has favorites: her BFF, her “brother,” Stanley, Kelly, her human BFF, and the love of her life, George. Albeit a little older and slower, she's still the crazy, goofy, sweet girl she's always been. Love you Sophie Girl

Merle is 10, but could easily be mistaken for a much younger dog. He is bright, happy, bouncy and has mellowed into a lovely, friendly boy. People are drawn to him and his wonderful nature, and he smiles and loves them right back. He is a joy for us to have as a part of our family!

Roscoe has always been the sweetest dog, and he continues to be even as he slows down. While not as quick to get up off the ground as he used to be, he's still very willing to play and receive attention. We couldn't have asked for a better companion for our children to grow up with.

She's loving life and has not slowed down much at all!

Riva always greets us with a toy in her mouth. If we pick up her toys and put them in the basket, she will go get them and put them all back out where she wants them. She's an early riser and wakes us up every morning and follows us around all day. She's a great traveler and loves the snow and to swim. We love her dearly and are very lucky to still have her healthy and with us at 10.5 years.

Hickory's Man of Mystery aka Watson enjoys his daily 3 mile walks in the park. At a surprising distance he joyfully greets his canine friends and then greets his human friends by sitting on their feet. At home he skillfully controls his parents with his giant rooster.

Una enjoys an idyllic life on a horse farm in the hills of Upstate NY. She is a very happy dog, enjoys being outside and likes her hugs when she comes in. Una still acts like a puppy running around and welcoming people visiting.

Ahhh! Sophie! This girl came into our lives when we needed a change. Sophie really helped us find our new love. This wonderful girl showed us the essence of the breed and so much more. She is feisty and knows what she wants but also knows how to be a best friend when you need it. She rules the roost and the other dogs in it like a wise old matriarch. We treasure every minute with her.
