The BMDCA and the 2007 Specialty
Consortium welcome you to the 2007 BMDCA National Specialty in Louisville,
Kentucky. There is much rumor and misinformation floating around
about the recently revised Animal Control Ordinance in the City of Louisville,
as well as speculation about how it might affect the 2007 BMDCA National
Specialty. To allay some of your concerns, please read the following letter.LMAS Ordinance Clarification

ATTENTION: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2007 NATIONAL SPECIALTY EXHIBITORS
RE: NEW DNA REQUIREMENT!
An AKC DNA profile number MUST be provided on the official entry form* for
each Bernese Mountain Dog entered in any competitive and titling event at the National
Specialty. AKC DNA kits can be obtained from the AKC Online Store at
www.akc.org. STANDARD PROCESSING TIME IS 6-8 WEEKS AFTER RECEIPT SO DON'T
DELAY!!!
*Premium lists will be mailed to members and posted on-line in early March.*
If you have submitted a DNA sample to the American Kennel Club but have not
yet received a DNA profile number AND need it for your 2007 Specialty entry,
call AKC DNA Operations at 919-816-3508 to obtain a preliminary DNA number
(accepted in extenuating circumstances only.) Please allow an appropriate
amount of time for the AKC to receive your sample and call NO LATER THAN one
week prior to close of entries, Wednesday April 11th. Be sure to mention
"BMDCA National Specialty" to expedite your request.
EVENT PARKING & SHUTTLE
All vehicles entering the Expo Center will be charged a $5.00 parking fee upon
each entry (in/out privileges are not granted.)
