The BMDCA & Heart of Michigan Bernese Mountain Dog Club Welcome you to Frankenmuth Michigan for the BMDCA National Specialty.
May 1-6, 2006

To help you plan for your dog's health and well being, we are providing the following information regarding dog diseases that are the most prevalent in Michigan ...
Heartworm: Every Vet consulted has this at the top of their list.
Leptospirosis: Not nearly as common as Heartworm. Affects dogs in outlying, rural areas more often than dogs in city areas.
You may want to consider taking appropriate action for the safety of your dog. The two links below provide a little more info on these diseases if you are not already familiar with them.
Please consult your veterinarian for more information.
